end of the line

My parents and I ate dinner and had some beers at Terminal Brewhouse in Chattanooga a few weeks back. It's in an old building that was once a hotel for the train station next door, which is now a hotel itself, which is rather baffling, but they've added a second-floor patio carpeted with live grass, which is lovely, and which is where we sat. The menu was in bad need of a copy editor but was big and inventive, and there was a Loss Cat print hanging up downstairs, which makes me sure someone involved has made a trip or two to Brick Store, so I think the place will fare quite well. I hope so, at least. If there's one thing I've learned from living in Atlanta, it's that historic preservation and beer are two things that really draw folks together and make communities a better place to live, and I'm happy to see that happening more and more in my hometown.

I just ate there and loved it so much I took my mom there the next day! I'm so happy it exists!
