the great frame-up

I used to buy t-shirts as souvenirs when I traveled—apparently now I buy Things For My Walls. I think it's working out okay.

Colin Meloy & Laura Veirs show print by Carson Ellis & Crash Design bought at Flatstock 16. Kitschy prints over the stove from Kudzu.

Print of 826 Valencia mural by Chris Ware. General Lynx print by Mark Weaver.

Austin City Limits poster from my first trip out there (two years ago, now—whoa). Painting by my mom, in college. Small framed print by Ashley G. Oddly-sized Hatch print in a make-do frame that I actually rather like. Plus a few framed cards and one Matt Cipov squirrel mask print hiding in there somewhere.

And I haven't run out of walls yet. Onward!

this just makes me realize that i have absolutely no taste or decorating sense at all. :'( LOL

seriously, i just have incongruous random shit on my wall. and not like, incongruous random shit like you have, where they all kinda go together or you have them grouped so that it all goes and flows. No, just random shit. Mostly from Aunt Joyce, who still has so much junk she doesn't know what to do with it all except try to give it to me.

so really what i meant to say is, i love your decor! lol

I love your new place!! It looks great...can't wait to see it. I, too, share the affinity for framing concert posters.

Your apartment looks gorgeous. I am envious of your decorating abilities. My apartment is so plain and white-walled. The S-hook hanging mechanism in the kitchen is a great idea. I cook a lot so I'm always feeling like I'm running out of space with all of my pans and assorted contraptions.

Thank you guys!

Kathleen, I bet you can organize your random shit so that it works, too. Try for similar colors or motifs (like all the crazy cat prints on one wall-- just assuming there are crazy cat prints involved, for some reason) or frame color/shape or something that ties it all together. (end HGTV talk)

Meagan, the things I have my pans hanging from are from Ikea and they're awesome. They're really cheap (less than $5 each I think) and I just nailed them up there. Big thumbs up for those.
